With each passing of a loved one, something in me softens. I feel grief, and joy for their release.
My appreciation for life becomes more profound. My love deepens for those of us still here and for the memory of those who’ve gone.
A message came to me that I want to share with you:
You are a sacred being.
Let your light shine—let it shine!
Bless the world with your light for all of your days.
The light is in you now and cannot be lost.
The light in you is sufficient and has everything you need.
Your light is a blessing to the world.
Let nothing diminish your light, disturb your peace, or rob you of joy.
Let nothing stand in the way of your brilliance.
Your being is sacred.
Make yourself a promise: be totally unwilling to accept anyone’s misperceptions of you, including your own.
You who have been given the gift of life, my God, what a gift you have been given!
Be grateful.
Extend your gratitude to everyone you meet on the path.
Lead with love.
Love is the way. Walk in gratitude.
Remember this:
You are enough–more than enough.
You have everything you need.
Everything is ok–it’s all working out.
Remember the strength that goes with you.
You are not alone. You are never alone.
You are watched over, guided, and protected.
Your guides and angels always have your back.
The doorway to the death of the body is but a small step away.
The exit from mortal life is one last gasp, a final exhale, and then we are gone.
We have occupied ourselves with too many trivial matters, concerned ourselves long enough with superficial things.
What does it matter what anyone thinks?
Big deal. Who cares? So what? Why not?
What is left for you to do in your life, the undoing of which would leave you with an eternity of regret?
What are you here to do? Do it.
Who are you here to be? Be who you are.
Waste not a moment more dwelling on the past or fretting over the future.
Bring yourself into the present moment, right here, right now. Because here in this present moment is your power.
shine your light wherever you are, right where you are
let your light burn bright as a star
be consumed by your creative passion
your heart’s desire
be on fire
until you are burned up
not burned out
Whatever stands in your way… remember you put it there.
Let nothing stand in your way.

I had the honor of offering words to a packed room at Arno’s memorial service in Durango. So much love in the space.
I am sure the Ancestors dwell in the vicinity of their loved ones, and not gone to a planet far, far away. Certainly this is true of Arno. When his wife, Jane, asked Arno before he passed, “How will I know you’re around?” She was thinking hummingbirds, hawks, and ravens. Arno said, “11. The number 11, that’s how you’ll know.”
I already have a relationship with 11, but now it’s showing up like crazy all around me.
